More food for the soul

After the flea market we were as hungry as could be and sunburned. I don't even know how I was there for hours in tight jeans. We ended up going to a Taiwanese restaurant!
I got this Watermelon juice that tasted exactly like I was eating a whole watermelon! The juice was so refreshing for such a hot day. The restaurant was called Cafe something it was kind of hard to find because they didn't really have a sign. I think it was more of a word of  mouth kind of place.

A day at the Flea Market

This will be my second time going to the Rose Bowl Flea market and can I just tell you I never buy anything because there is always so much to take in ): But I assure you the next time I go I am going to go crazy and buy to fill the void.

Every month they will have this Flea Market around the Rose Bowl and it is really cool. There are a lot of people who come all the way to the Second of every month. I even saw the Antique Archaeology truck there that day but it was not the guys on the American Pickers show. Oddly they were girls I guess there is more than one group of people working for that store.
 Tips from a second timer:
+Wear sunblock or bring an Umbrella
+Wear something light like a dress so you can try on shorts
+Bring a bag or a cart

Trust me these are valuable tips for any one looking to go to a flea market in the heat.
It was so cold in the morning so I wore jeans and guess what? That was the biggest mistake in the world. It turned out to be 95 degrees during the whole ordeal and there are no trees to block out the sun. I was pretty much dying trying to find wonderful things.

You will probably see the coolest and the weirdest things here. Everyone is selling everything to make a buck or more. At the end your hands might feel a bit grimy because you are touching things that are old and rusty.
LOOK I found my Halloween costume! Smurfette! I am going to Katy Perry up this Smurf. This is an example of what you will find that is odd. They are all mascot kind of costumes. I will definitely come back all the time because I love going through and seeing all these weird items they sell. People are really crafty.

I crave,

Before we went to the Hello Kitty x Pose event we stopped by for some Cuban food! The restaurant was called Versailles which is bombb. I had a Guava & Mango & Banana shake and I finished that even before the food came!! The shake is a must try it is that thick kind of shake and you can taste the fruit.
I was really tempted to get the pork because I love fried pork in Cuban food. Since Versailles is know for their enormous chicken I had to try it. It is literally this big plate of chicken with their special sauce.
The chicken was so juicy and crispy and it was lathered in their special sauce which made it even better. It is also served with rice and I pretty much poured this green sauce on that rice. It was so good but probably so bad for me. Hey you can see the shake in the corner and look how much I drank before I even got the chicken!
After we went to the event we were tempted to get dessert while up here. You know might as well right? We were in the dessert mood like crazy. What is better than shaved ice on a cold night?
I have always gone through this area but never tried Blockheads Shavery! It really is good and I like the options they have for the shaved ice.
I do give them props on the cute little penguins they planed every where. It really is a busy store because the line was outside on the sidewalk and I don't think that is uncommon. It is hard to find a place to eat around there since there is a big demand for the shaved ice. We ended up just standing and sitting in the car. You really need to share the regular size because it is huge!

You may know me as..

Through out my whole high school life and starting my college one I pretty much scream Hello Kitty. It is not my fault that I am privileged and get free Hello Kitty stuff! Anyways be jealous my little ones. I got into the POSE x Hello Kitty gallery which launched their new art book. I was on the VIP guest list (;

You know saw some famous people and all. Yeee Yeee no big deal. Haha just kidding. It was really cool we were in this really Hype Beast part of Los Angeles. You could just tell because there were  stores like Supreme around where those boys with khaki shorts, long socks, and $30 shirts would go to.

The gallery consisted of a lot of graffiti art works. I think the artist is one of the muralists who go around cities and spray paint.
You can see this guy everywhere in the Gallery because it is POSE he is the one who painted most of the paintings.
I really loved the Hello Kitty chandeliers they had for the event. They not only had the tentacle Hello Kitty lights they also had Hello Kitty champagne which of course I could not try. Haha.
I felt like Kanye West and the throne with my Hello Kitty. I took as many pictures as I could to show you guys how it looked like. There were many Hangyodons out there! I was so happy. By the way Hangyodon is my favorite Sanrio character!
It was a great experience to see all these Hello Kitty lovers even though I didn't get to see Tyler the Creator ); Everyone there had a unique and crazy style as a designer, artist, or even Hello Kitty lover. It was a great place for the people who appreciate Sanrio & art to come together. It was a very artsy fartsy event in LA. HELLO KITTY 4 LYFEE. Haters can hate.

The Ashleys

Since I have been in the University it has been harder and harder to deal with these people. The time has only been ticking for three weeks. I have only been here three weeks and I am pretty sure I am going to burst. There cannot just not be a post about my life in college. Forreals style.

We are predicting that there will be this one day where one of us just starts yelling and blaming everything on one of the Ashleys.

Don't get me wrong I love certain people in my hall but we live in a secluded hallway so it's only the ten of us. It is hard to learn to love ten people that you see every single moment of our lives.

Okay I will call them the Ashley's not that they are pretty or popular just the fact that there are three and I miss Recess.

Let me give you a quick introduction to them. I just remembered that there are four Ashleys but whatever I like it.

Ashley B., ohh Ashley B. She is the type of girl who does not have much of a normal social interaction background. She does not really know what to say and does not know when to say it. It can come out as stand off ish and even rude. When something so insignificant such as forgetting a note could be made into a big ordeal. Even though it is nothing to worry about. She is not the most comforting nor the best conversation starter. Ashley B. is also a gamer kid so there is not much there. She has already made it seen that she probably does not like me either.

Ashley T. She is the oddest one, literally. I do not even know what to say about this girl. She gives off some fear but weirdness at the same time. Ashley T. was weird from the beginning since she never introduced herself. As the weeks have been going on she has tried to fit in. She has this obsession and over excessive thing with cussing. I think she started because we cuss a lot but in subtley. It would be out of the blue and she would yell it out. It is so awkward. Not only that when she does something she has no care for anyone else at all. She stomps and slams the door and will even tell us who cares about the people downstairs. She will do the oddest things. I cannot even explain it. Ashley T. is a girl who likes anime and loves her little bear to death. We do not know if she has a hearing problem but she does not like to respond to us which makes her come off as rude. The thing that is super nasty to me is that she does not wear slippers to the shared bathroom. Yumm naked feet on the bathroom floor. Oh yeah she likes to laugh like a maniac like loudly to kitty porn. Not kiddy, kitty.

Ashley Q. The worst of all the Ashleys. The most judging and hypocritical person here. She will say that PDA is the most disgusting thing that makes her throw up. She will literally say it out loud. No one wants to hear that. Yet every boy she just meets she touches them like crazy. Leaning on their shoulders, touching their leg, and even holding onto them. Not only that she brings them to our dorm and she barely knows them. The thing is she thinks she's the holiest person here too. I don't understand. She is all about the herbs and ointments not the meds and says "I can never do that to my own body.". It does not matter what you do she will probably think you are worst person for listening to rap music, talking about sex, or even wanting to join a sorority. You would think it is not her place to judge you, to your face, with what you do because it is your decision. No, that is not what goes through in her mind she will say whatever pops up in her mind. She is a skinny girl but she eats a shit load and it is not just her food it's everyone else's. She is very inconsiderate since I am sitting in the lounge where there's piles of her stuff everywhere. Only her stuff too. Ashley Q. is probably the worst and the most person I am done with. She needs too much attention that I do not want to give to her.

Thank you for letting me go through this phase of ranting about the Ashleys!

One of These Days

Somewhere in the weekdays my hall mate's friend came over to visit. It was the craziest day we had in a long time. Paula, Nikky, and I gave a tour to the darling friend Sabrina around our campus.
It was almost five and we took you know the pictures at the sign. We were the standing images of tourists.
Obviously. There was loud music coming from the HUB and to our surprise their were African American clubs out there. They were dancing their butts off. It was such a fun experience. We wanted be 'those' asian girls who jumped in.
Yet the fact of having you dance in the middle and everyone else stopping and staring at you is not the business. We kept to ourselves and watched these hysterical people. Freaking love this place. I want to join their club ):

Damn Asians haha.

Thank Goodness for the Weekend

My Sunday was pretty chill. Of course every week I am going to spend money to go eat my lovely eateries. That I miss ever so much! Next on the list was Boiling Crab! I got my jigga Linda to go with me. We caught up because I haven't seen her in a long time. She's too busy with all of her work and school ):
I had a long list of what I missed from the OC and on the top was Boiling Crab & Korean Barbecue. I thought it was too over kill if I were to just have both in a day! I don't think I want to go down in the Freshman 15 that way. But to think of it it does sound good to die with both.. Since Boiling Crab is pretty much two streets down we thought we'd visit our old buddy. Mr.Crawfish Yummmm.
I don't know if it's just me but I love to drink the water downed Brisk Raspberry Ice Tea. I like it so much better than the original because it's kind of strong. That's what I think! It might seem disgusting to you guys because water down isn't a very connotative word but IT'S DELISH.
For two people we paid a cheap price of $14 each. It was so cheap and so much food we didn't even eat it all. I miss the corns I left and craw fish. Linda persuaded me to think that it wasn't enough to ask for a to go bag. But sniff I miss it so much right now. Those cajun fries, that fried catfish, whole sha bang craw fish, and buttery corn. Oh god how I miss it!

HEHE I am so happy that I got to hang with this girl. She even drove me to the Block to get picked up to Riverside! Good Sunday, Good Sunday.

What I Have Been Up To

Hello my fellow bloggers! I have been missing in action. I know, I know. I just started University last week and let me tell you it's a very different atmosphere. Literally. It is getting hot in here (; My reference will be important later don't worry. I just wanted to kind of catch you guys up with really What I have been up to. CAUTION: LONG BLOG.

As welcome week kind of thing for my University. We had a musical line up including STRFKR, Cold War Kids, Dom Kennedy, and Nelly. It was so amazing I was really impressed with the effects and the staging and of course the musical talent. There were also food booths where clubs sold korean barbeque and etc. Pretty much like your regular high school fundraising. It was so packed! I think it was a great day even though I had classes for forever.. I really can't wait until I'm 21 and I can go get the dranks and sing to who ever is playing.
It's funny though when we were singing to Nelly & Dom Kennedy this poor girl was on the floor with her friends and she looked so drunk. She kept tipping over it was really sad! They were so pretty and dressed up for the event. She ended up throwing up on the grass. Let's just say I didn't step over on that side.

So I pretty much couldn't handle being at the University for that long because it felt like I was so isolated. Even though I hate on the OC I love it at the same time. Everything is within miles and here it's not even in the same area code. Seriously I am so far from good boba and good eats. How depressing right? I had to go home and visit the fam and cherish my race. I know I complained about the weather back home all the time but seriously I would rather have that than what I have now. Geez look at those clouds I can actually see the sky rather than just the bright sun shining at you in the Uni.
I hung out with Corona for my Saturday because I missed her birthday. I am such a good friend though. Before I hung out with her I went with my mother to Costco which is bomb by the way I miss it. I stumbled upon her favorite pie! It was a very large pie for a very small amount of money. Look at my mother do that coupon shopping. What a pro.

There was this new lounge called Sweetea Lounge. Don't be fooled it's not a Coffee Shop. Haha It was pretty good I loved the option of having a basil garlic dipping sauce for my popcorn chicken. The only issue I had was that the batter for the popcorn chicken was too thick and it felt like I was eating fried bananas really. They really do have good service and good drinks though. It was fun watching the workers find something to do because it wasn't very busy.
At night we stumbled around and went to target and saw this beauty. It was an advertisement where one of the pods would circle around and go from the container into the "washer" it was pretty  amazing. It lit up and everything.. Sounds sad but it was really cool!
Hehe look what I bought for this bad bitch=(girl dog), Chloester. Hell yeah $6 well spent man. She's bad to the bone. Okay, okay I will stop now. Isn't this cute. I thought it was so funny!!
OKAY! That is it. I was gone a whole week and documented two days. I haven't really been bringing my camera around sorry. But I will try to update as much as possible. Peace out.
