back to the grind

Hey Hodgepodge-ians!
I missed you guys so much. I recently have been volunteering at my University's newspaper and I just missed going out and taking pictures. It was a needed goal to have another photo shoot this winter break. My lovely friend Tina helped me out this time and you might have seen her in past posts. Just a side note I have not been editing and shooting like this for years or months now. I am a bit rusty. I appreciate criticism or critiques!

I wanted every picture to tell a different story so most of the pictures do not really go together. Except that they have the same model and lighting. Hope you guys love flower crowns & white dresses. Hehe there will be more to come!

Renegade Craft Fair 2013

Hello again,
I am back with another craft fair post. Not just any craft fair but Renegades Craft Fair! My sister and I drove all the way to Los Angeles to attend this event. Let me tell you you must wear sensible shoes and very little. It felt like summer in the winter and we were at a dusty and sandy park. Imagine being in a desert just with a bunch of hipsters and thingamabobs. That is what Renegade pretty much summed up to be. Hehe I must say I do love my crafty people there. I will eventually link their websites with the pictures but for now I'll just let you to the pretty picture viewing!

As you can see there are some vendors that were at both the Patchwork Festival and Renegade Craft Fair. I am assuming since vendors from far away travel to these festivities they stay here until they are able to sell at the many fairs California offers. I will have links and descriptions for vendors soon!

Patchwork Modern Homemade Festival

Hey Hodepodge-ian!
I feel like this year is the year of crafts. Patchwork was in town so I dragged my friend to go with me. We seriously came at the last hour of the festival and there was so much too look at. I am very envious of the vendors there. They are so creative and down to earth. I love how they make kooky cards and items people could not even imagine making! I thought I would also drag you guys along too. I have a couple pictures from the vendors there. It gave me quite a lot of ideas to start me crafting for the holidays.

I wanted to buy everything there! Their displays were amazing I think I am going to use what I learned and decorate my apartment. Look out for that! See you guys next time.

burgundy

Hello Hodgepodge-ians! I am back again to update you guys with the beginning of my second year. The weather has been off the charts in both ways. One day it will be cold, another hot, and then there is rain. It does not even matter that it is the start of fall! Oh well, that is Riverside for you. Every day is a completely unexpected surprise. On the other hand, today was a different story it was the mixture of the perfect type of day, warm and breezy.

Babypalooza

Happy Birthday to Emma & Jason!

I was invited to Jason's & Emma's First Birthday Party! There were so many photogenic babies there I just had to take pictures of all of them. Linda and I had made the babies' their cakes so that they could smoosh their faces in them. Aren't they the cutest? I think it was so cute that Jason was making crying faces and Emma was a very deep thinker. Those poses. Hope you liked these photos of these adorable babies.

Sushi in Huntington Beach

Brandy Melville top - Cotton On bottoms - Top Shop boots -
 - Papers & Peonies bracelets - DIY  midi ring
It is technically the beginning of fall but the temperature is way from it. It has been a sky rocket of 90 degrees lately. I cannot step away from shorts and a tank at all. I spent my evening in Huntington Beach with Linda, my good sport photographer, eating sushi. We got our moneys worth at Kabuki. Seriously we ordered so much off the Happy Hour menu there were other gentlemen eyeing our food. We have good taste I know. I haven't been there in such a long time I felt like a High Schooler again. If you have not noticed I cut my hair and redyed it! It is a new look I am supporting from my cousin. I thought it was time for a change. Since I have had the same style hair cut and length for years now. I think it suits me. What's your opinion on it? Thanks for reading dolls.

Spring Petals

Hello Again,
I thought I would share a sneak peek of my friend's new store. We had set up a day to do a little photo shoot for her new project. She will be posting her new Spring Petals site soon. Watch out for that!

I was able to find a new place to take pictures which was great for me. I needed to figure out more places to take photos around here. We ended up just taking pictures for her store and random pictures for fun. Got to take advantage of golden hour and a great area.

I thought that I should just share some pictures with you guys about how the photo shoot went. It was super hot but we got some good pictures out of them. I really do miss doing shoots so it was fun for me. I hope I can take some more before I leave.

Thanks for reading, loves!
